Expedition summary

In December 2001 Glenn will be in Buenos Aires preparing to depart on the Southern Endeavour kayaking expedition to the Antarctic Peninsula.

Accompanying Glenn on the trip will be a small support team specialising in kayaking and the Antarctic environment. The trip departs from Ushuaia in Argentina, a bustling community that lays claim to being the most southerly town in the world, sailing aboard a Russian ice-strengthened ship the Polar Pioneer.

The first days will be spent rounding Cape Horn and crossing the notorious Southern Ocean en route to the Antarctic peninsular.

Once in Antarctica Glenn will leave the ship to spend as many days kayaking as the weather will allow before being picked up for the return journey to South America.
